Artwork (packshots)
Every album can carry a packshot, shown on your client site, in the admin lists and in downloads. Labels, artists, playlists and pitches have their own images too.
Add artwork in bulk
Name the image file in the ALBUM: Artwork Filename column of your metadata CSV and deliver the file with your audio. Mercury matches it to the release during ingestion. See Prepare your metadata CSV and Deliver audio and artwork. Missing or failed artwork shows under Ingest → Assets in the Album packshots card, with a Rescan packshots button to try again after you add the files.
Add or replace artwork by hand
- Open the album from Library → Albums with the pencil icon. Artwork can only be uploaded on an existing album, so create it first if needed.
- Hover over the packshot placeholder and click the upload button.
- Choose an image file. It uploads at once and a toast confirms Image uploaded successfully. There is no need to click Save for the image.
The same upload control appears for a label’s Logo, an artist’s image and Hero image, and the Packshot and Hero image of playlists and pitches.
Uploaded artwork replaces the previous image immediately and cannot be recovered, so keep your originals.
