Incoming releases
Use Subpublish → Incoming when you are the agent: it lists releases that original publishers have sent you, and lets you accept them into your library and publish them to your client site. New to this? Start with How subpublishing works.
The Subpublish and Incoming entries in the sidebar carry a badge: red when releases are waiting for you to accept, amber when accepted releases are waiting to be published.
The tabs

Three ways to look at the list
Use the Group by button at the top right:
- Album: one row per release, with artwork, Album, Album code, Original publisher, Status, Release Date and Created. Click the artwork or title to open the album in Library → Albums.
- Label: one row per label, with the original publisher, a count and the most recent releases as chips.
- Original publisher: one row per publisher, showing each label with a count and recent releases.
Accept releases
- Open the Received tab.
- Click Accept on a row. To accept everything from a publisher or label, group by Original publisher or Label and click Accept all, then confirm.
- The status badge shows ACCEPTING with a spinner while a background job copies the release. Refresh the page after a moment; the release moves to Accepted.
Accepting creates an album and its tracks in your library, unpublished, with the original publisher’s tags copied across (through your tag mapping rules if the agreement enables them). Artist pages are created for the recording artists and a label page is created the first time you accept from a label. The original publisher receives an Albums accepted email if they have that notification enabled.
Review before publishing
Accepted albums sit in Library → Albums and Library → Tracks alongside your own catalogue. Use the Origin filter there to show only Subpublished content. You can:
- add or remove tags;
- put the album in groups to control who can see it (see Groups and access types);
- switch Published on, which is the same as publishing from Incoming.
The title, code, description, artwork, audio, codes and composers belong to the original publisher and are read only for you.
Publish releases
- Open the Accepted tab.
- Click Publish on a row, or group by Label or Original publisher and click Publish all.
- The badge shows PUBLISHING briefly, then the release appears under Published and is visible on your client site.
Nothing is live until you publish
Accepting only copies the release into your library. Clients see it only after you publish, either here or with the album’s Published switch.
If a badge shows an error
If a background job fails, the status shows a red error label. Nothing is lost, but the release needs to be reprocessed by Cadenzabox staff. Send the album code to [email protected].
