Outgoing releases

Use Subpublish → Outgoing when you are the original publisher: it lists your releases on the way to your agents and where each one has got to. New to this? Start with How subpublishing works.

The tabs

TabContains
UnsentReleases on a covered label that have not been offered to the agent yet. Only appears for agreements without automatic delivery.
SentReleases the agent has been offered but not yet accepted.
AcceptedReleases the agent has accepted. The status badge tells you whether they are ACCEPTED (in the agent’s library, unpublished) or PUBLISHED (live on the agent’s site).
RevokedReleases the agent rejected. This is normally empty because rejection is only possible through the API.

Each tab shows a count badge.

Three ways to look at the list

Use the Group by button at the top right to switch views:

  • Album: one row per release and agent, with artwork, Album, Album code, Agent, Status, Release Date and Created. Click the artwork or title to open the release in Library → Albums.
  • Label: one row per label, showing each agent, a count and the most recent releases as chips.
  • Agent: one row per agent, showing each label, a count and the most recent releases.

Send a release

  1. Open the Unsent tab.
  2. Click Send on the row.
  3. Watch the confirmation. If some releases could not be sent, an amber notice lists each one with the reason.

To send in bulk, group by Label or Agent and click Send all on the row, then confirm.

Every release needs complete assets

A release is only sent if all of its recordings have audio available and its artwork has finished processing. Otherwise it stays in Unsent with the reason Has missing audio or Packshot not available. Fix the assets under Ingest → Assets and send again.

What happens next

  • When you send, the agent gets a New albums received email if they have that notification switched on.
  • When the agent accepts, the release moves to Accepted and you receive an Albums accepted email if you have it enabled under Notification settings.
  • When the agent publishes, the badge changes to PUBLISHED. You are not emailed for this.

Taking a release back

There is no withdraw button. If you need a release removed from an agent’s library, contact [email protected]. Cadenzabox staff can reset a release to Unsent, which deletes the agent’s copy, or deactivate the agreement, which hides it from both sides but leaves anything already published live.
